Mòjīng fēnlèi yìzhù 墨經分類譯註

(‘Classified Translation and Annotation of the Mòjīng’), Tán Jièfǔ’s thematic reorganisation of the Mohist canons and explanations. Rather than following the traditional sequence of the text, the work groups passages into twelve subject areas, including logic, epistemology, mathematics, mechanics, optics, politics, economics, and ethics. The classification reflects Tán’s conviction that the Mòjīng preserves a systematic body of knowledge whose structure can be recovered through analysis and reorganisation. The text is a report commisioned by the Chinese Academy of Science in 1957, but not published until 1981.
