Quán Zǔwàng 全祖望

(1705–1755) Qīng historian and scholar best known for his studies of the intellectual history of the Southern Sòng and Míng periods. For the history of Chinese logical thought, his importance lies in preserving information about later interpretations of the School of Names. His account of Chéng Zhì’s lost Shǒubáilùn is the principal surviving source for that work and provides rare evidence for the continuing study and reinterpretation of Gōngsūn Lóng during the seventeenth century.
